Kerela

Kerala or as the locals say, God’s own country is a very hospitable state and has the country’s highest literacy rate of over 97%. People are very hardworking and honest. Kerala is home to some excellent beaches and spas. Its famous for its eco-tourism policy. Besides the traditional massages you will also find a lot of jute plantation and spice plantation here. Then backwaters area of Kerala is part of the Eco-tourism ideology of sustaining tourism and the environment.

You have the opportunity to spend a night or two on the famous houseboats and pass through the various water channels and see and glimpse daily life of the people in this region. Cochin has a strong influence of Dutch, Portuguese and French influence here, but except for this city, culturally there is nothing of cultural importance to see in the whole state. Its more for a relaxed holiday and to enjoy nature and serenity. Its also home to Periyar National Park, the biggest National Park in this region.
